A banner alone does not make a store compliant. Identify the trackers actually used, their purposes and how they react to visitor choices. Your privacy notice must describe your own processing.
Test the visitor choices
For trackers requiring consent, verify that they do not run before approval. Refusing should be as easy as accepting, and withdrawing consent should remain accessible. Test on mobile and desktop, signed in and signed out. Apply the rules relevant to your market.
Check every integration
Inventory GA4, Google Ads, GTM, social pixels, video embeds and scripts added by themes or modules. Each service should load only once and follow the expressed choice. Google Consent Mode v2 passes consent signals to Google services; by itself it is neither a legal guarantee nor a CMP certification.

Article 82, GDPR and practical checks
In France, Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act governs trackers. EU Regulation 2016/679 governs related processing of personal data. Check visitor information, rejection, purpose-based choices, withdrawal and the services actually loaded. Google Consent Mode v2 signals or a scanner are not legal validation of a shop.
